Umhlanga. Established concern within the Financial advisory industry seeks Cost and Credit Controller with relevant Finance / Accounting qualification, previous work experience in costing of imported stock and solid understanding of foreign exchange impacts on stock costing.

Manage and implement the purchase to-pay process including oversee preparation or purchase orders to suppliers, prepare budget landed costs for stock or project items, obtain creditors invoices and build up actual landed cost of stock or project items, verify all supplier charges, prepare variance analysis of budgeted cost to actual for approval, capture actual stock / items costs (invoices) in the financial records, and prepare creditor recons and payment schedules including foreign vendors.

Develop, implement and maintain stock costing models, systems and procedures. Perform detailed cost analysis, reviews and cost improvement projects. Manage cost accounting procedures and methods in order to accurately account for costs per product. Advise sales team on stock / project items and cost and check sales team calculations. Prepare and load supplier payments. Capture stock journals. Reconcile stock balances per system to store. Monitor aging of stock and track against orders. Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reporting as required.

Requirements:

Relevant Finance / Accounting qualification
Relevant work experience in performing costing of imported stock
Must have understanding of importation aspects of stock costing
Must have understanding of foreign exchange impacts on stock costing
A sharp analytical mindset must be able to present solutions to problems and provide accurate, timeous feedback
Proactive selfstarter
Excellent communication skills clear verbal and written communication; competent talking to stakeholders
High attention to detail
Work under pressure to meet weekly and monthly deadlines
Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central advantageous
Experience in FMCG sector in particular, food commodities advantageous
CIMA or relevant costing qualifications advantageous
