Prestigious wine estate has a vacancy for a hands-on approach Human Resource Manager with at least three to five years' experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist to join the teamhr business partner|hr generalist|hr manager|human resources manager
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Employee/Labour Relations and Industrial Psychology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience of which 3 years must have been as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist covering all broad aspects of Human resources (Experience within the Agricultural industry would be an advantage)
- Knowledge and experience working with BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and Labour Law
- Must have strong IR skills and knowledge
- Must have knowledge of Risk Management and Compliance
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
- High level of empathy and solution orientated
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the full HR function by ensuring effective implementation of all HR processes through strategic business partnering
- Improving HR processes, practices, and systems to achieve enhanced effectiveness and efficiency; and proactively supporting and educating employees and line management on HR processes.
- Proactively manage the Health and Safety rules, regulations and procedures as well as various statutory and industry regulated compliance requirements and/or auditing bodies such as (but not limited to) SIZA, WIETA, GLOBAL GAP and Stronger Together etc.
- Contribute to a team culture that values collaboration internally, cross functionally and in partnership with other functions.
- Oversee the payroll function, processing staff benefits, addition of new hires, deductions, terminations etc.
- Effectively provide performance management, provide advice and support on performance related issues
- Proactively manage TES (Temporary Employment Services/Labour Brokers)
- Ensure all training and development needs are met through strategically aligning the requirements to that of current and future operational needs, closing skills gaps and strengthening the talent bench
- Manage the Industrial Relations function:
- Conduct internal disciplinary processes and procedures
- CCMA: Representation at CCMA and preparation of cases
- Trade Union Management e.g. wage negotiations, consultations, disputes
- Strategically plan, implement, and submit annual:
- EE reporting
- WSP/ATR
- BEEE Verification
- Optimize relevant HR processes and systems (People Flow, Adagin, Simple Pay)
- Support employee engagement activities such as wellness programs
- Initiate social development programs
