Senior Data Scientist with AI expertise for Distribution Centre

Functional Description:


  • Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and patterns that can help optimize inventory management, supply chain and warehouse operations.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to identify opportunities to leverage AIbased solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to predict demand patterns, optimize inventory slotting and improve labour overall work rates.
  • Analyse WMS data points to identify areas of improvement from labour management, productivity, efficiency and operational flow.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes using AI and develop strategies to implement these solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to develop and implement datadriven solutions that can improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AIbased solutions and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and machine learning with a focus on supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including deep learning, neural networks and decision trees.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloudbased platforms such as AWS or Azure and/or Data Lakes is a plus.
