Introduction
Our client, based in Westmead, is looking for a Service Manager to join their team.


Duties & Responsibilities
Attend to enquiries from customers, and record all details of new service jobs.

Ensure understanding of the customer's job and the supplies needed for it.

Hand over relevant information to admin to prepare quotations.

Schedule jobs for the technicians and relay any changes to them.


Look over technician job cards for mistakes and clarify explanations of work done, if needed, before taking them through to be invoiced.

Update the job board throughout the day.

Host morning meetings with sales reps to discuss the latest service related jobs.

Prioritise which in-house and customer jobs need to be completed first.

Ensure machines being sold are tested, cleaned, checked, and wrapped for delivery on time.

Progressively work through second-hand machines to bring them up to a sellable standard.

Contact and manage technicians, and outsourced technicians when required.

Order spare parts from suppliers when needed for machine services.

Keep work areas tidy and stocked with consumables.

Oversee the loading and unloading of machines.

Fill in incoming and outgoing machine checklists.

Update customers regularly to keep them in the loop regarding the progress of their machine repairs.

Ensure all technician vehicles are in good condition, services are up-to-date and tyres are legal.


Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification.

Experience managing a production, maintenance or service team.

Experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
