Packaging Technician - Johannesburg, South Africa - MNA Recruitment
Description
A leading pharmaceutical company has a 1-year contract vacancy for a Packaging Technician, to test and evaluate all packaging and components used on finished products.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Test packaging and components per applicable standard operating procedures
- Ensure timeous testing to avoid delays in manufacturing
- Provide supporting data to collate any discards
- Liaise with Manufacturing on requirements for production needs
- Assist in prioritizing sampling workload based on the availability of stock for production needs
- Ensure tests performed comply with applicable standard operating procedures before final release of packaging and components
- Ensure efficient traceability of all test reports
- Perform testing of all moulding's approval samples to ensure compliance before implementation
- Liaising with suppliers and procurement, in the event of nonconformances
- Initiate, Supplier Nonconformances in the event of test failures
- To support fault finding and problem solving on the nonconformances obtained
- Work with quality and operations personnel to ensure cGMP compliance.
- Ensure that all packaging is "fit for purpose" while maximizing efficiencies within the manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Exposure within the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Knowledge of the Quality Control process
