Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced
Duty Manager for a luxury 5* Boutique Hotel in
Constantia, Cape Town.

As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel and ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction.

This position requires a strong leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering impeccable service.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and are attended to promptly and courteously.
Handle guest complaints, inquiries, and special requests efficiently and professionally.
Act as a point of contact for VIP guests, ensuring personalized attention and exceptional service.
Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments.
Coordinate with department heads to maintain highquality standards throughout the property.
Monitor and maintain the hotel's appearance and cleanliness to reflect the Hotel's luxury brand image.
Lead and motivate the hotel staff, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment.
Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all employees are wellinformed and updated on hotel policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Assist in monitoring revenue streams and identifying opportunities for upselling and revenue growth.
Collaborate with relevant departments to control operational costs without compromising on service quality.
Oversee the smooth transition between shifts, ensuring effective communication and handovers.
Maintain a strong presence during peak hours and special events to address any issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff effectively.
Strong leadership abilities and the ability to make quick, wellinformed decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
A flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A commitment to maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence in service.
