Duty Manager for a luxury 5* Boutique Hotel in
Constantia, Cape Town.
As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel and ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
This position requires a strong leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering impeccable service.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and are attended to promptly and courteously.
- Handle guest complaints, inquiries, and special requests efficiently and professionally.
- Act as a point of contact for VIP guests, ensuring personalized attention and exceptional service.
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments.
- Coordinate with department heads to maintain highquality standards throughout the property.
- Monitor and maintain the hotel's appearance and cleanliness to reflect the Hotel's luxury brand image.
- Lead and motivate the hotel staff, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all employees are wellinformed and updated on hotel policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Assist in monitoring revenue streams and identifying opportunities for upselling and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to control operational costs without compromising on service quality.
- Oversee the smooth transition between shifts, ensuring effective communication and handovers.
- Maintain a strong presence during peak hours and special events to address any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to make quick, wellinformed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A commitment to maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence in service.
Renumeration:
- R19,000
- R20,000 liveout
