Our client is a leading supplier of chemical raw materials and mechanical engineering products and equipment. They are looking for a Sales Consultant to join their team.


JOB DESCRIPTION


As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible generating leads, making sales, continuously updating our clients CRM database, and meeting sales targets.


The purpose of this role is:

  • to contribute to the Sales Department's overall efficiency to meet their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets, including promoting and selling their products / services and building strong commercial relationships with both the client, suppliers and manufacturers.
- to meet our clients customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping their company competitive and innovative.


Your primary responsibilities:


  • Promoting and selling our clients products (bulk chemical raw materials & mechanical/engineering products and/or equipment) and/or services
  • Increase customer base prospecting new business with existing/extended product offerings.
  • Proactively seek and secure new business opportunities to meet monthly/annual revenue targets with existing and new clients.
  • Planning and executing all phases of the sales process or service provision contracting, consulting, and closing deals.
  • Develop highlevel relationships with key decision makers within existing and potential customers as well as build strong commercial relationships with both suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Identify and select suppliers/manufacturers that complies with the correct specifications and competitive pricing. Negotiating pricing with suppliers/manufacturers and clients as well as payment terms which will benefit the company.
  • Supply chain efficiency: Goods or Services delivered to customers on time and in full.
  • Develop the necessary product knowledge to fully understand and effectively communicate with customers about our products, its features, benefits, uses, and support needs.
  • Market products made and sold by International companies with whom we have distributorship agreements.
  • Answer any questions, the customer might have about a product or service.
  • Prepare competitive tenders and RFQ's obtained from the various sites such as SCNET, National Treasury, Municipalities, Tenders-Online
  • Create a quotation, place orders to suppliers/manufacturers, supply logistics and operations as well as ensure a smooth sales process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Sales/Technical/Chemicals.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years sales experience and proven track record in mechanical or engineering or chemical raw material/aptitude for calculations/communication on all levels.

SALARY

  • R8 500 basic + a cell phone allowance + commission (when applicable)
