Service and Repair Technician (Electrician)

Our Client based in Westlake - Tokai, is looking to employ a Service and Repair Technician (Electrician) to repair and service their medical equipment.


Requirements:


  • N
  • N
6 in Electrical Engineering or better.

  • Be a Trade Tested Electrician
  • Minimum of 3 years' post apprenticeship experience.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
  • N
o criminal record.

  • Good general mechanical knowledge.
  • In excellent health.
  • Computer literate, professional with sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 199
  • Reliable, hardworking, and organised (adherence to good housekeeping protocols).
  • Stay within the Southern Suburbs area or within a 30km radius of Tokai/Westlake. (Advantageous).

Responsibilities:


  • Working in the workshop and sometimes in the field (hospitals as and when required) daily to install, repair, maintain and service client's medical equipment.
  • Updating the database on computer of records of servicing of medical equipment.
  • Managing and ordering associated spare parts for the medical equipment.
  • Undertake electrical/electronic/mechanical refurbishment of existing medical equipment.
  • Equipment faultfinding
