Logistics Manager Centurion

Our client, a mining consumable product supplier company in South African and in Centurion is currently looking for a Logistics Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and cost-effectively planning all movements of materials and equipment products between suppliers and clients regardless of their origin and destination.

These goods are currently supplied within south Africa and exported to 43 other countries globally.

You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects relating to products, warehousing, shipping and integration into the business development and sales departments.

Our client is a dynamic, fast growing business and require a manager with an appetite to grow, and be willing to adapt and learn fast.

Understanding of how logistics in the mining/construction industry works would be beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities
:
Efficient and cost-effective planning of material and equipment movements to our between manufacturing facilities, warehouses and clients, irrespective of origin and destination.
Supervise and coordinate logistics activities (shipments).
Implement and sustain logistics tracking and reporting systems. Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
Resolve any arising problems or complaints

Meet cost, productivity, and accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
Domestic freight distribution (Road) Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless coordination.
Planning. Primarily Office based with occasional travel to site.

R30 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
