  • An established engineering supplier/manufacturer situated in Selby, Johannesburg is looking for the above to assist with internal sales of their Electrical/Cable Management products.

Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Matric plus a Technical Qualification.
years' Counter/Internal Sales experience.

  • Sage experience advantageous.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Generating quotations and tenders from standard catalogue items (all quotations done on Sage or on Excel).
  • Capturing of all the order information on the Sage system (these include the customer's name, product code, price, contact person, mobile number and delivery address).
  • The efficient management and releasing of customer backorders (sales representative to be responsible for their own back orders and customer service).
  • Handling of goods return for credit (accurate completion of the credit input form with the correct return code and valid reason completed).
  • Timely printing of picking tickets, orders must be processed immediately.
  • Requesting of drawings and new product codes on the correct form from the Senior Estimator.
  • Always ensuring excellent customer service via telesales and/or walk in customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and neat workstation at all times.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with Management regarding any customer complaints and stores regarding special delivery instructions.
  • Actively taking part by contributing new ideas for sales, operations and products for the branch.
  • Actively searching for new business and customers by phoning customers on the existing database to generate business and making cold calls to possible new customers.
  • Controlling of cash sales (responsible for own cash sales and submitting the invoice together with the cash or proof of EFT payment to the debtor's clerk).

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
