As a Senior Credit Controller in the Agricultural Industry, you will be responsible for managing the credit control processes and ensuring optimal cash flow for the company. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the credit control function, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts
• Monitor and analyze customer credit profiles to assess creditworthiness
• Review credit limits, terms, and conditions for new and existing customers
• Negotiate payment terms and settlements with customers and resolve any credit-related issues
• Implement and maintain credit control policies and procedures
• Prepare and present credit control reports to senior management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve payment disputes
• Monitor and report on aged debtors, initiate legal proceedings as necessary
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to credit control

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Credit Controller
• Completed SAIPA
• B.Com degree with articles
• Advanced Excel
• Accounting Principles
• Basic VAT principles
• Basic Audit principles
• Strong knowledge of credit control practices, procedures, and regulations
• Excellent understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
