    Job Purpose

    This position is responsible to ensure operational excellence for Group Finance applications operations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • The provision of system availability, reliability and capacity for Group Finance applications for availability within Business Operational Hours.
    • Maintaining and support of reference and master data between applications preventing errors between applications and systems.
    • The monitoring, management and support of automated system components to ensure availability and capacity of applications and systems for operational hours. The automation includes robotics and batch runs. Enhancing the automation to create a simplified low-cost systems operating platform
    • Deliver results through ensuring plans are approved and accepted
    • Manage resources in executing and achieving business strategy and associated metrics
    • Optimise value add through standardised delivery processes
    • Ensure business area complies with Nedbank standards, policy and regulatory requirements
    • Improve delivery capabilities and capacity
    • Make quality and timeous decisions
    • Deliver best practice services, meet and exceed client expectations in support of strengthened business IT collaboration
    • Monitor and manage client, service providers, partners and other stakeholder expectations
    • Ensure integrity in actions through building trust and respect
    • Ensure communications and building relationship networks
    • Contribute to team effectiveness and transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building, business strategy and CSI initiatives
    • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision, values and lead by example
    • Stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth
    • Share knowledge and insights with team members and management

    Formal Qualification

    • Relevant Tertiary qualification – Finance, IT or related qualification.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 3-5 years IT operations experience
    • 3-5 years Financial Knowledge

    • The monitoring, management and support of system components
    • The system capacity, planning and management of system availability
    • Automation of processes leading to applying machine learning and artificial intelligence
    • Support improving user experience of systems
    • Managing data storage and operations
    • Understanding and transforming system landscape into data landscape.
    • Principles of system development life cycles ranging from waterfall to agile.
    • Financial Services Governance Risk and Controls with regulatory knowledge
