PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
  • The Senior Sales Manager is in charge of spotting business opportunities within a specific Region, Product Group, or Key Accounts.
  • Responsible for overseeing sales, customer relationships, and marketing efforts to boost market share and order intake.
  • Reports to the General Manager - Sales.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • NQF 7 (Bachelors Degree) in Marketing/Business Development or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in international sales and marketing.
  • Experience in Security, Technology, or Defence industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Defence Industry, including ammunition and weapon systems.
  • Thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Familiarity with Global Political and Economic Affairs.
  • Knowledge of International Trade and regulations.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Skilled in negotiating contracts.
  • Must be a South African Citizen.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Reside in Greater Cape Town or open to relocating.

  • Identify and nurture business opportunities.
  • Anticipate needs through market research and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Establish the company as the preferred partner and provider of attractive solutions.
  • Analyze market suitability and sales potential for different business solutions.
  • Develop and execute capture plans for business growth.
  • Understand the competitive landscape.
  • Create competitive pricing strategies aligned with the Commercial Strategy.
  • Build a robust business network with various relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams.
  • Manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with end users, technical advisors, and distributors.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Engage with stakeholders including government officials, industry partners, and procurement officers.
  • Establish strong internal and external networks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
