Award winning 5* Lodge in Greater Kruger National Park is looking for an Assistant Lodge Manager / Head Guide Couple.


Assistant Lodge Manager:


  • Able to work independently
  • Guest centric position with big/majority focus on hosting and serving at meal times
  • Checking in & out guests
  • Overseeing Housekeeping
  • Overseeing chefs and Kitchen
  • Overseeing FOH Staff
  • Running daily operations of camp & Staff
  • Setting tables with FOH team for meal times
  • Room checks
  • Petty cash balancing
  • Stock takes & orders
  • Budgeting recon
  • Invoicing
  • Stock control
  • Reservations

Requirements:


  • Matric & a formal qualification
  • Min 4 years' experience in management role

Head Guide:


  • Managing the Guiding Department
  • Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff in the Guiding Department
  • Staff training and development
  • Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
  • All administrative duties pertaining to the Guiding Department
  • Overseeing and Management of the Portfolio's Fleet
  • Allocation of rangers and trackers to daily game drives
  • Daily Game Drives & Bush walks
  • Hosting Duties
  • Allocation of Airport Transfers
  • Guest Activity and Airport Transfers
  • Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
  • Photographic safaris
  • Reporting to Group Operations Manager and Head Office

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5 star lodge necessary
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Big 5 reserve
  • Experience in wildlife photography will be an advantage
  • Social media experience
  • Valid RSA Driver's License and PDP
  • First Aid


  • FGASA Level

  • Field Guide
  • Trails Guide
  • Firearm competency
