Qualifications and other minimum requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • T1
  • T2 or N6 (Advantageous)

Experience:

Years in Mining and Minerals and Chemical Process industry

  • Experience in light to heavy structural steelwork
  • Producing structural layouts of process buildings, platforms and support structures
  • To shop detail structural members

Personal attributes:


  • To perform the duties in an orderly and professional manner

Computer literacy / system requirements:


  • Microsoft Office/Word/Excel
  • Autodesk Revit (10 years exp)
  • AutoCAD 2D and 3D
  • Advanced AutoCAD 3D (Advantageous)

Architecture - Understanding the principles and techniques involved in the design of Structural Diagrams/Layouts and Details

Blueprints, specification, plan reading - Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models

Building and construction - Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the manufacture & construction of structural buildings

Design - Providing documentation, detailed instructions, and drawings to inform others about how to manufacture and construct steel structures

Administration - Basic knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions and production within the discipline

Attention to detail - Focusing on aspects of the work task which may be precise or form small parts of the whole and is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail
