We are urgently seeking a_ Proactive, d _etail-orientated _
SHEQ COORDINATOR -_ with previous experience in a_ c _lient service contracts & workshop environment__- _to assume_ _responsibility for SHEQ management for all Service Business Unit activities - and ensure continued effectiveness of the Safety at offices, project sites as well as manufacturing facilities.

NB Must have a Qualification in Safety Management, SAMTRAC, HIRA & First Aid Level1) Preferably Immediately available and residing near/within the Kempton Park area - and the capacity to be on call_ _24 hours to respond to any incidents or accidents._


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Implement & maintain a safety system to ensure the company's compliance to all relevant SHEQ legislation appropriate to operation management and client requirements.
  • Review and evaluate to ensure staff, suppliers & subcontractors are performing their tasks according to client or company's HSE requirements through site inspections and audits and report all deviations to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Identify and correct any deficiencies in the SHEQ System and monitor its effectiveness in the light of changing technologies and to regulation changes.
  • Become acquainted with the client's SHE requirements and implement as necessary.
  • Provide SHEQ awareness training & liaise with staff, clients and suppliers in all areas concerned with safety.
  • Communicate with the various teams the SHE requirements needed to be implemented and maintained on the sites and by suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Implement and maintain the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 199
  • Implement and maintain a safety system in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management System requirements.
  • Responsible for the SHE requirements of all buildings, grounds and security related to the allocated sites.
  • Ensure the deployment and implementation of the various Group HSE initiatives and programs
  • Assist Service Team members in resolving SHEQ nonconformances and disputes.
  • Prepare Safety statistics and reports at required intervals.
  • Plan, schedule and execute monthly internal SHEQ audits and checks on contractors
  • Plan, schedule and manage all medical and health monitoring requirements for project and workshop team members.
  • Plan, schedule and chair and all safety meetings.
  • Coordinate investigations into accidents or incidents that have occurred on site
  • Ensure that adequate firefighting and first aid equipment is available and personnel are trained and coordinate fire and emergency drills
  • Participate actively in meetings with the main objective of improving the Company's effectiveness, service and profitability by maintaining the highest possible safety standards.
  • Maintain Safety Precautions and sound housekeeping principles and due care of all equipment/assets under your control
  • Evaluate and facilitate training requirements to ensure legal compliance
  • Prepare and conduct SHEQ Induction Presentations for all employees, visitors and contractors
  • On call 24 hours to respond to any incidents or accidents
  • Continuously strive to ensure SHEQ KPI's are achieved and managed on an ongoing basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ideally Immediately Available and within Kempton Park area

Must have: Either Degree / Diploma / B. Tech in Safety Management

  • 5 years' experience in a Client Service Contract environment
  • 5 years ISO Management System experience advantageous
  • Experience in a workshop environment
  • Computer skillsG Suites
