Description

We are inviting you to join our highly capable and experienced team of technicians. As a technician at TSU Technical Solutions, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repairing of access control systems, alarm systems & electric fences in accordance with the company's standard operating procedures.

You will be based at our offices in the beautiful Boland town of Stellenbosch.

Qualifications & experience

Relevant Diploma in Technical, Electronics, Associates, Education, Military, Networking, Engineering, Technology, Electronic Engineering, Video 3 5 years vocational experience
Private Security Industry experience will advantageous

Key Performance Areas:

Service, install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance and inspections on security systems
Evaluate the signal quality and performance of systems
Adhere to and maintain technical standards and standard operating procedures
Provide remote support as and when required
Service the Company's product portfolio as directed in an effective and costefficient manner
Ensure that tools and equipment are regularly maintained in good and safe working order
Ensure that test gear is regularly calibrated and labeled as required by ISO9000
Maintain all paperwork and documentation uptodate
Communicate appropriately with the Director TSU Technical Serivces to receive work and report progress in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established procedures
To be aware of all contract possibilities and addon business opportunities
To observe and promote safe working practices and help maintain depots in a tidy and workmanlike manner
Establish working relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors
Be available for callout

Request and attend training provided to keep abreast of latest technologies
Stay up to date on the latest technologies and security systems

Requirements:

Ability to meet targets & deadlines
Selfmotivated & strive to succeed
Must be able to work as part of a team and be able to work without supervision
Valid driver's license
Alarm, CCTV, Electric Fence, Access Control, Gate Motor knowledge
Good technical skills and workmanship
Good communication skills
Networking background will be highly advantageous
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software will be advantageous
PSIRA registered
Must be available for callout

Experience with:

Access control installation, troubleshooting, and repairs
Alarm system installation and repairs (Paradox, DSC, IDS, Texecom, Caddx, Ajax & other major brands)
Should have indepth knowledge of alarm communicator devices and apps
Electric fence installation and repairs
CCTV (IP and analogue including cabling, installation, setup, programming, & troubleshooting), all major brands

Remuniration:
Commensurate with experience and qualification
