About the Role


We are looking for an organised, efficient sales support specialist to be responsible for administrative duties and assisting the sales department in gaining and keeping customers.

The sales support specialist's responsibilities include tracking and managing sales leads, coordinating quotes with sales packs, and providing customer service.

The sales support specialist is also responsible for monitoring sales and the performance of the sales team as well as recording and reporting on sales data.

To be a successful sales support specialist, you should have good time management and organisational skills. You should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Answering lead/customer inquiries, scheduling meetings and sales appointments, and following up with leads/customers.
  • Direct liaising with clients
  • Ability to action a lead, including cold calling of clients is essential
  • Compiling a daily list of sales leads, assessing sales leads, delegating leads to the sales department, and providing sales data and guides to the sales department.
  • Developing and monitoring performance indicators for sales and staff members, managing sales tracking tools, and compiling reports.

  • Having dealings with bid office/s specifically relating to proposals
  • Recording sales trends, liaising and supporting account managers to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Performing data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintaining an organized and accessible filing system.
  • Managing and maintaining the CRM.
  • Handling sales administrative duties for the company and its executives and management teams as may be required.
  • Scheduling lead/customer meetings and conferences.
  • Reporting any unusual activity to your supervisors.
  • Developing processes and protocols where necessary
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A bachelor's degree or a diploma in marketing, business, or a related field may be advantageous.
  • Experience in administration and highvolume office work may be advantageous.
  • Experience of at least 4 years in a sales support role.

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent team working, motivational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in/with a bid office; with an understanding of how to prepare proposals and presentations to get business.
  • Computer literacy, data capture, IT skills, and typing skills. Use of MS Office as well as the ability to quickly learn how to use online/cloudbased systems and tools.
  • Strong professional conversation etiquette, especially in person and over the phone when interacting with company representatives, clients and customers.
  • Clear communication and the ability to explain concepts in simple terms are used to help the customer work through problems and accurately describe products. Wellspoken and professional.
  • Should be able to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues that may present themselves.
  • An understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • As this is a salesrelated role, experience working within sales teams/departments is imperative.
  • Confident and comfortable on the phone

Salary:
R22 500,00 - R25 000,00 per month
