Our Brand PR professional must therefore be an exceptional writer, and be able to adapt to short form writing, in the digital realm, and with super ease.

They should also exhibit conceptual thinking abilities and/or have digital experience.

We are open for input on how we can continuously brainstorm and evolve our internal studio design processes (with the support of our Lead Creative Manager).

Role Purpose


The Momentum Brand family is looking for a Brand PR professional to use their strategic abilities to develop a Brand PR & Media strategy that can support the implementation of our Brand campaigns, PR communication plans and tactical initiatives to support the Momentum PR & Media objectives.


Requirements:


  • Degree in Business Communication/Journalism/Marketing Management and/or Public Relations.
  • 57 years of public relations, media relations or external communication experience.
  • Project management experience (1 year)
  • Activation experience (5 years)
  • Agency experience (1 year)
  • Design experience (1 year)

Duties & Responsibilities

1.


PR Strategy & Policy:


  • Develop the Momentum Brand PR strategy and contribute to the Group PR policy framework, norms, and standards.

Consumer Trends & Target Market Understanding:


  • Keep abreast of consumer trends in and out of category, as well as legislation and best practice within the PR and Media fields. Adapt these insights to inform our Brand campaigns to get the brand loved, recommended, and create employee pride and belonging.
  • Champion research to understand how our various consumer audiences are adapting and tailor key brand messages for a win win result.

Stakeholder Management:


  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to optimise Brand PR opportunities and exposure internally and externally.
  • Advise and guide stakeholders on creative ideas or concepts to bring the Momentum Brand PR strategy to life across the business.
  • Guide and provide support and master classes to the members of the Momentum Brand and their agency partners to ensure a natural integration of the PR capability in all brand work.
  • Encourage or invite stakeholders to wellknown PR conferences and webinars, to bring about a fresh perspective and inject new energy in the business.

Media Management:


  • Develop a bespoke approach to engaging and managing media for the Momentum Brand.
  • Craft standard media statements and briefs that work across the PR & Social media domains.
  • Manage the coordination of the media interviews and exposure for Momentum Brand activations.
  • Support in the preparation of speeches, content, publicity and other supporting material for TV, Radio, Twitter Spaces, Digital interviews such as Zoom or Teams mediums.
  • Act as the primary media contact and work with the Group PR team to effectively respond to media queries relating to Momentum Brand activities.
  • Draft standard responses for a variety of media queries in collaboration with our Group Crisis Comms & Momentum Social Media teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the media crisis strategies and oversee the crisis management processes, in partnership with the Group PR & Crisis Comms teams, or as necessary.

Brand PR Plans & Campaign Management:


  • Manage the conceptual and operational delivery of PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Develop the Brand PR plan and calendar to bring the Momentum PR strategy to life in a tangible way.
  • Manage and socialise the PR Mandated and Always on campaigns, on a quarterly basis, across the most optimal stakeholder platforms available.
  • Develop an 'After Action Review' to assess and measure the effectiveness of all PR campaigns.

Conceptual Ideas, Exceptional Writing:


  • Be inspired to share research on the trends that inform conceptual writing and how it could shape the Momentum Brand PR strategy.
  • Develop and settle on a tone & style for the Brand PR audiences in line with the Momentum Brand positioning framework.
  • Have an adaptive, ease of style of writing across different platforms e.g., Brand PR media event collateral, social media and microsites, press releases, campaign and quarterly PR reports etc.

Event and Sponsorship Support:


  • Evaluate all sponsorship contracts, rights, and opportunities to see how we can leverage the Brand eventing capability for PR
