Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated person to join our logistics warehouse team.

This person will be instrumental in the warehouse environment to ensure timeous order preparation & running effective and efficient warehouse practices.

Duties will include but not limited to,

Role:

Picking and packing of all stock items. Accurately make ready orders for both internal and external customers
Stack stock in accordance with warehouse policy of space intervals, FIFO rule.
Stock returns to be handled accurately recorded and returned to designated space within warehouse.
Daily stock counts to be done in accordance with set company procedures
Loading and offloading all delivery trucks, picking & packing of all items
Safely operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
Handle stock carefully, report damages, monitor BB dates and rotate stock regularly and minimise stock losses
Comply and uphold all Health and Safety regulations, policies in accordance with Law and company Policy
Occasional Delivery of stock, stock items to external customers
Be relief driver to transport stock when required.

Ability to think out of the box
Must be solution orientated person who is target driven to succeed
Be able to build strong customer relationships both internally, externally
Must have good communication skills
Take responsibility for own performance daily
Ability to operate in a highpressure environment

Personal Capabilities_

Grade 12 plus 2 years relevant driving experience
Knowledge of OHSA Act advantageous.
Must be physically fit to perform all duties
High level of accuracy and attention to details
Must hold a valid Forklift license
Must hold a valid Code C1 (10) driver's license
Must hold a valid PrDP
