REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric, 35 years of work experience on digital projects, preferably as a Digital Media/Digital Project Manager or Brand Manager responsible for digital communication and/or working in a global marketing team
  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalistic, IT & Digital
  • Experience of working with social communication for a global brand within the Luxury/drinks (FMCG) / alcohol / tobacco brands / luxury brands where marketing is a plus (legal advertising constraints)
  • Fluent English (high level of literacy), French is appreciated, but not a must
  • Experience in managing digital channels for multiple brands in a corporate company
  • Experience & excellent eye for detail in digital media. Understanding production across all digital sources & strong understanding of digital media buying.
  • Content creation experience and passion for understanding local culture
  • Able to change tone of voice for different audiences/brands.
  • Experience in developing and implementing longterm digital strategies
  • Strong understanding of paid/earned/shared/owned media landscape
  • Excellent organizational, project planning and knowhow of brand marketing
  • Experience in campaign reporting and
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders from agencies to senior management.
  • Able to deal with complaints/issues/praise. Understanding of escalation best practices
  • To provide creative direction and ensure social media best practice is followed.
  • Experience using social media analytic software (e.g. Talkwalker, Emplifi, etc) advantageous

DUTIES

  • Understanding the overall brand strategy, DNA, and translating it into a coherent and effective relevant digital strategy that will engage our different audiences.
  • Develop digital strategy, conceptualising & implementing strategic objectives & KPIs
  • Report and advise on key consumer trends and performance metrics.
  • Work to understand consumer and demographic data to inform the digital strategic direction.
  • Act as the advocate and custodian of digital and brand expert continually building the capabilities of the region.
  • Cascade updates and information to Markets.
  • Manage archive of social media & digital content.
  • Ensure that pages are following the Marketing Code of Conduct.
  • Monitor key industry trends using digital tools and channels.
  • Monthly Checkins with Markets to nourish digital efforts.
  • Management of thirdparty suppliers.
  • Developing best practice digital toolkits for Market's campaigns.
  • Management, briefing and reviewing the work of Agencies.
Managing criteria with agencies

  • Curating content from editorial calendars provided by Agencies
  • Developing local content for inmarket campaigns.
  • Maintaining digital channels for brand pages.
  • Implementing digital media.
  • Creating monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for key brands to be shared with key stakeholders, using Talkwalker and Emplifi.
  • Establishing a regional digital report to keep senior management and the agency stakeholders abreast of improvements in digital performance.
  • Maintaining social media community FAQ and guidelines.
  • Community Management and Escalation.

Salary:
R37k dependent on experience
