Do you have proven experience in sales or rentals in the construction, real estate, printing, office automation or similar industry?


Our national client in the Bluff location requires your initiative-taking approach to identify new business opportunities and maintain excellent relationships with existing clients for rentals.


Requirements:


  • Matric, Qualification in business administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field advantageous
  • Proven experience in sales or rentals in the construction, real estate, print, office automation or similar industry
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Knowledge of modular or portable buildings industry advantageous.
  • Technical understanding of construction processes and building regulations and project management experience advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Sales and Marketing:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries that can benefit from modular building solutions.
  • Refine market research and market analysis to determine the market potential and implement action plans to target the market potential.
  • Create marketing materials and campaigns to promote the rental fleet.

Client Management & Contract negotiation:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to showcase the advantages of modular buildings.
  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their budget and timeline.
  • Negotiate rental rates and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Submit quotes/proposals for all RFQ requests.
  • Review rental contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Fleet Management & Financial reporting:

  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the rental fleet is maintained in optimal condition.
  • Coordinate the logistics of delivery and setup of modular buildings at client sites.
  • Monitor and report on rental fleet performance, including utilization rates, revenue generation, and profitability.
  • Prepare and present reports to management with insights and recommendations for business growth.

Customer Service & Team Collaboration:

  • Network with sister companies within the group to identify synergies for growth opportunities
  • Work closely with other departments (Operations, admin, accounts)
  • Assist debtor's department with outstanding payments from customers
  • Communicate with staff and customers at various levels
  • Resolve any issues or concerns that clients may have regarding the rental or condition of the modular buildings.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain timely and accurate commercial documentation for submission to admin department.
  • Prepare weekly sales planning and activity reports.
  • Weekly updating of rental and sales pipeline and forecasts.
  • Quarterly rentals & sales presentations to senior management reflecting progress made on actions plans, market potential and targets set out.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards and policies.
