Responsibilities:

Work closely with internal and external sales teams to understand their material requirements
Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and ontime delivery of materials
Continuously monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary
Stay uptodate with market trends and new materials that may be beneficial to the company
Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in the procurement process
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials
Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports
Participate in supplier audits and evaluations
Knowledge of the PPE industry will be an advantage

Requirements:

Matric (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an advantage)
3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software systems
Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and attend industry events
