Network and Infrastructure Security (Senior Lead) (
Financial Services)

Location:

_Pretoria, Gauteng_**There is a brilliant opportunity available for a
Senior Lead : Network and Infrastructure Security at a well-established
financial
services institution.

Position Overview:

The main purpose of this position is to
plan, direct and manage the design, installation, and connectivity of complex network systems
to ensure stable operations of the firm's networks -
this includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.**
Key Performance Areas:

_Develop and manage the _
_implementation of best practices, network standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)__._

- _Design, manage and implement short
- and long-term strategic plans._
- _Develop and deploy _
_methodologies for measuring network performance__._
- _Analyse, consolidate, report, and make _
_recommendations on the performance of the network landscape

_:
- _Investigate, plan, test and implement networks according to industry standards._
- _Ensure the _
_provision of network solutions __in accordance with agreed upon business requirements._
- _Coaching, mentoring, development, and performance management._

_Manage the network services and security solutions, including firewalls, denial of service solutions and intrusion detection systems

- _Provide input into the _
_development of policies, standards, and processes__._
- _Build and manage _
_key Stakeholder __Relationships_**_ and participate in other departmental/divisional projects._

_Manage the performance of third-party network service providers__._
- _Provide input to _
_resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control__._

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:

A
completed Bachelor's degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.

Certification in Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Library and
Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies.

A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in an IT environment.
