Our client in Finance is looking for a full-time IT Manager to join their team in Pretoria.

Responsibilities:

System Maintenance and Improvements:

Regularly update and maintain the Rocket D3 Database platform, SB+ system builder, and Linux Red Hat Operating System to ensure optimal performance and security.

IT Infrastructure Management:

Plan, design, and manage the IT infrastructure to support the organization's needs.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure smooth operations.

Security Management:

Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the systems and data.
Monitor for security breaches and vulnerabilities, and take appropriate actions to address them.

Problem Solving and Support:

Respond to and resolve technical issues and incidents related to the mentioned systems.
Provide timely technical support to endusers and address their concerns.

Programming and Development:

Create custom solutions to address specific business needs.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Keep records of changes and updates made to the systems.

Collaboration:

Work with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
Collaborate with vendors and external support teams when needed.

Required Skills:

Rocket D3 Database Platform and SB+ System Builder:

Proficiency in programming within the Rocket D3 Database platform using languages like PICK BASIC.

Linux Red Hat Operating System:

Strong command of Linux Red Hat OS administration, including installation, configuration, and management.

IT Infrastructure Management:

Knowledge of IT best practices for infrastructure planning, design, and maintenance.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
