Job Overview:


Senior BI Solution Specialist (Financial Services)**
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Position Overview:

An exceptional
financial services concern requires the services of a
Senior BI Solution Specialist.


The main purpose of this position is to
develop and maintain detailed technical designs and
ensure alignment of implementation and maintenance thereof with respect to all
Business Intelligence (BI) solutions across the group.


Main responsibilities include:


  • To develop detailed technical
    domain specific BI technology and solution standards.
  • To translate business requirements into detailed solution designs and technical specifications.
  • To
    lead, guide and review various phases of the
    Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure
    adherence to project specific solution designs and Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards
:


  • To ensure
    technology solutions which are production ready meet the defined design specifications.
  • To continuously
    review BI solution architectures and designs.
  • To
    keep abreast of industry best practices and technologies and
    lead implementation.
  • To
    impart knowledge of the technical environment to the product team.
  • To own and be accountable for the
    delivery of technical BI solution design workstreams.

To be considered for this position, one must have:


  • A
    completed Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7) in
    Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information
    Management/Technology.

Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant field.

TOGAF and ITILv3 certifications:

-
A minimum of 5 years' + experience
Solutioning,
Designing and
Implementing
complete BI Solutions at an
Enterprise Level.

  • A
    minimum of 5 years' + working experience with
    Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Experience across
    BI Platforms such as
    Microsoft Power BI Reporting Server and Services,
    Informatica,
    Teradata, AWS, Azure:
-
Proficient in SQL, Oracle, and AIX.

  • Practical knowledge of
    software engineering concepts
    DevOps, DevSecOps, and DataOps.
  • A
    minimum of 810 years of experience
    Designing,
    Building,
    Maintaining, and
    Optimising
    Data and
    Analytics
    Solutions.
  • Experience in
    managing Technical Teams.
