Job Description:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Determine the Human Capital strategic direction for the division considering Group requirements
- Plan for HC in support of and alignment to the business objectives
- Contribute to and provide input towards the Group Human Capital strategy and its implementation as part of the HC leadership in the organisation
- Partner with stakeholders by offering value added, progressive HC advice and support
- Define the interdependencies across HC priorities and provide input into the creation of Group policies, processes and procedures to support the business
- Develop, with business leadership, an annual Strategic Workforce Plan, in order to fulfil longterm business goals
- Lead and facilitate a superior Performance Management, Talent Management, Learning and Performance Culture, with programmes and projects that deliver on the objectives
- Drive and facilitate the Change Management capability and process in the organisation
- Ensure appropriate investigation of Tip-Offs or similar incidents in a timely manner
- Participate and/or lead engagements with Nampak's trade union partners at the NCC and NEBF structures along with appropriate bilateral meetings
- Manage and improve employee relations through constructive engagements
- Design and manage projects to improve and enhance Organisational Effectiveness
- Champion and manage the strategy and execution of Employment Equity, Diversity and Inclusion objectives and initiatives
- In conjunction with Group, design and implement robust HC reporting, data analysis and insights generation to facilitate datadriven diagnostics, decisions and effective business solutions
- Lead and coach the HC team in order to deliver on the HC priorities and business objectives
- Ensure a robust and strong, competent HC function operates within the division
- Accountable for HC service delivery and legal compliance in the division
- Accountable for control selfassessment and performance outcomes from internal audit processes
- Accountability for the management of the employment costs within appropriate benchmark structures
- Accountability for work force planning and management of the staff establishment of the division
- Bachelor's degree and post graduate tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment will be advantageous
- Good understanding of all aspects of HR i.e. HC Systems, Performance Management, Talent Management, Learning and Development, ER/IR, Organisational Development and Design, Organisational Effectiveness, Change Management, Remuneration Management and Employee Benefits and relevant legislation
- Have high levels of integrity and ethical standards
- Have a strong business acumen with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Able to communicate confidently and effectively across all levels
- Have strong leadership, coaching and mentoring ability
- Be a confident, selfmotivated professional who uses own initiative
- Have excellent computer literacy and administration skills
- Strong financial acumen
