Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Maintaining carton filling machines and downstream equipment in order to meet capacity and quality demands.
Ensuring that operational waste is kept within required parameters.
Developing and strengthening of relationships with machine customers.
Assisting with new development projects.
Providing support to sales with adequate levels of machine availability, operability and reliability relating to the mechanical aspect of the production.
Managing and Cocoordinating all engineering related breakdowns and ensuring problems are attended to in the shortest possible time.
Cost control through effective spares utilization and planned maintenance methods.
Management of work sheets and ensuring that they have relevant information.
Participating in the Health and Safety program.
Managing the process of ensuring all machinery, lifting equipment etc. complies with the OHS Act and related regulations.
Managing planned maintenance, including arranging downtime, spares, resource and ensuring completion within specified time frames.

Job Requirements:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD**:

Ideally have a Millwright Trade qualification.
Have at least 3 years experience in a carton filling environment.
Have the ability to converse confidently in both English and Afrikaans.
Be an organised person with good time management skills.
Be self sufficient and show initiative.
Have well developed problem solving skills.
Have a valid driver's licence.
Be willing to travel extensively to visit customers and spend time away from home.
Be willing to work overtime when necessary.
