Requirements:


  • Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Botany)
  • At least three years teaching experience at tertiary institution or 5 years professional experience in the relevant field.

Duties:


  • Facilitate teaching and learning to undergraduate and Honours Biological Sciences modules.
  • Conduct research and supervise postgraduate students in areas of Ethnobotany and Plant Ecology.
  • Conduct practicals and mark the reports thereof.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessment of students.
  • Review allocated modules and participate in programmes reviews of the department.
  • Assist in identification of students at risk.
  • Participate in community mounted research projects.
  • Participate in departmental and faculty meetings as well as representing department in institutional committees.
