An excellent opportunity has become available within the Energy industry for an Energy Intelligence Project Manager, based in Bellville, Cape Town.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics or statistics
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in a similar discipline
  • MS Office proficient (emphasis on advanced MS Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client engagement experience
  • A passion for data analysis, demonstrated in a track record of developing and presenting own analyses and developing own analytical models
  • The highest possible attention to detail and level of accuracy for quality assurance
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines in a highpressure environment
  • Strong logical and systematic thinking with an eye for data solutions to overcome challenges

Requirements:


  • Liaises directly with Company's Clients' Energy or Sustainability Managers
  • Responsible for energy, water and sustainability consulting and reporting to our Clients, to address all related queries and requests
  • Build relationships with our Clients' Energy or Sustainability Managers as well as key Client individuals impacting on the related programme i.e. regional managers, project managers, and all other personnel involved in reaching the Clients' energy and sustainability goals
  • Needs to have the highest standard of attention to detail in interrogating large datasets and reporting of energy and water consumption data
  • Analysis and Reporting
  • Processing consumption and cost data into a usable format
  • Internal and external (Client) adhoc analysis of consumption data and report on findings
  • Oversight, control and integrity checking of fixed reporting material and services
  • Spot checking of existing reports and ensure the highest levels of accuracy
  • Constant identification and analysis of potential consumption and cost saving interventions
  • Constant analysis of data using statistical techniques, implementing and maintaining databases, gathering data from primary and secondary sources, identifying, analysing and interpreting trends from the data.
  • Conduct weekly research on security of supply risk (local energy and water supply risks)
  • Client Communication and Presentations
  • Conduct and drive weekly management meetings with the Client and Company's teams present
  • Preparation of MS Power Point presentations for Client meetings
  • Training of energy reporting services to Clients where necessary
  • Team Management
  • Ability to manage a small to medium sized team (35) of energy analysts working under the programme manager
  • Full oversight, management and responsibility of all team activities and deliverables
  • Work closely with other analysts and programme managers to provide access to data, insights and customised reporting
  • Conduct research on current challenges faced in the Energy, Water and Sustainability field
