Summary of role:_Procurement Analyst acquires a company's various supplies. Their main duties include locating key suppliers, negotiating the company's purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet the company's specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities
Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.

Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.

Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.

Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.

Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.

Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.

Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.

Analysing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.

Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.

Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Pricing & Procurement Specialists build vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products for their company.

Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organisation.

Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.

Track inventory and restock goods when needed.

Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.

Mystery shopping of components to ensure the Company always remain competitive.

Support Sales and Marketing with supplier/vendor negotiations on bulk buys and/or special promotions.

Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)

Completed relevant qualification certificate/diploma

At least 3 years procurement specialist experience

Knowledge of developing efficient procurement solutions and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

Knowledge of ERP System

Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word)
