Description

Seeking a highly proficient and dedicated IT Support Engineer to join their Operations team.

The individual will play a crucial role in overseeing the IT operations, ensuring the seamless functionality of the infrastructure, software systems and providing support to product and development teams.

Operations-related IT, including:
Develop propose, procure, implement, configure, optimise and maintain IT infrastructure (e.g.

servers, networks, PABX, Firewall / Security, backups, CCTV, access control, etc.), user support (software and hardware troubleshooting, procurement, user assistance, etc.) and software solutions (managing installations, licenses, cloud-based services, etc.) based on company operational requirements.

Such solutions should support and optimise the general and specialised operations and activities of the Employer and its staff; and

Also applies to digital Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), implemented to optimise and digitise company operations and to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 certification.

Product and Development support to the production team as and when required.

Careful documentation of all activities to serve as useful record of development decisions, configurations, infrastructure, usernames, passwords, results, etc;
General administrative and technical tasks in support of the Employer's operations, from time to time; and
Performing minor support roles within the company, as required

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications
Advanced Diploma / National Diploma in Information Technology or similar qualification.

Required Skills and Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience;
Significant experience Linux administration;
Significant experience with Python;
Significant experience with business networks;
Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred);
Experience with network security (intrusion detection, encryption); and
Experience with virtualization (Docker, VSphere, VirtualBox).

PCPP-31-1xx
PCPP-32-2xx

Cloud:
AWS Professional Level Courses
AWS Specialty Level Courses

Leadership experience;
Proficiency in version control systems like Git and SVN;
Experience in enterprise networking policy; and
Experience in authentication (LDAP, SSO, OAuth).

General skills
Ability to learn fast and absorb new information quickly;
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on large projects;
Ability to work independently;
Strong problem-solving skills; and
High standard of communication skills in English (both verbal and written).

Salary:
R325 000,00 - R385 000,00 per month
