Being part of the Blastrite operations and a well-established team, you will represent the warehouse function in Culemborg, Cape Town.

This is a full-time, operational role, where you will work independently on a variety of tasks.


Reporting to the Branch Manager day-to-day, you will be encouraged to maximize your potential by being equipped with adequate resources, technology, and time to accomplish your goals.

Core Outcomes

  • Warehousing_
  • Ensure that no stock is dispatched without the correct documentation
  • Receiving and dispatching of goods according to Company policy and agreed standards
  • Ensuring the correctness of incoming and outgoing good with regards to: Quality, Quantity, Packaging, Product and Price
  • Ensures that the incoming goods are allocated correctly
  • Report on any damaged stock which you encounter and investigate the reason for the damage
  • Maintain all material handling equipment in good working order
  • Ensure that all equipment, is clean and in operating order
  • Responsible for quality control
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Assists with stock take by conducting stock counts
  • Pack stock in a neat and orderly fashion in line with the stock principals of the warehouse
  • Monitoring and setting aside storage space
  • Tracking stock levels and making sure that stock is stores correctly and safely
  • Minimize stock losses through increased security measures and monitoring
  • Monthly stocktake and reconciliation of stock
  • Receiving and verifying deliveries
  • Observe correct stock receiving protocols
  • Maintain the storeroom and the allocation of space for stock
  • Unpack orders and stock shelves as required
  • Forklift Driver_
  • Driving forklifts for the purpose of moving materials from the production centres to the warehouse in a timeous, tidy and safe manner
  • Moving materials from the warehouse to the despatch area for loading in a timeous, tidy and safe manner
  • Packing materials per the Warehouse Plan
  • Ensure that any broken bags are repaired or rebagged with the applicable code numbers and returned to stock
  • Ensure that all pallets are neatly and safely stacked safely and responsibly
  • Ensure that trucks are safely and correctly loaded
  • Ensure that the warehouses are kept clean and tidy
  • Carry out any other reasonable duty as he may be directed to from time to time by the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Health and Safety and Housekeeping_
  • Maintain and comply to housekeeping standards by keeping the warehouse clean
  • Keep stock safe from destruction, abuse, fire, and theft
  • Material handling equipment must be maintained be in good working order
  • Comply with all required health and safety regulations
  • Report any damaged stock to the line manager immediately, which you may encounter and assist with the investigation to determine reasons for the damage

Key Functional Requirements

  • Grade 12 with mathematics
  • Valid forklift license
  • 2 to 3 years relevant experience
  • Valid (Code 8) driver's license
  • Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans
  • Experience in using Microsoft Teams
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Salary:
R6,500.00 per month
