Production Planner Manufacturing

Johannesburg North, Johannesburg - Gauteng - South Africa

You will be responsible for managing the production process in the manufacturing facility.

This includes working closely with the production team to develop and implement an efficient production schedule, ensuring that all necessary materials and resources are available, and managing the flow of work through the factory.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant technical qualifications
  • Manufacturing experience essential (ideally plastic injection moulding)
  • Solid experience in manufacturing and production planning
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
  • Skilled in project management
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.

Key Result Areas:

  • Developing and implementing an efficient production schedule to meet customer demand and optimize use of resources
  • Coordinating with the production team to ensure that materials and resources are available as needed
  • Managing the flow of work through the factory, including tracking progress and identifying and addressing bottlenecks
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Monitoring and tracking production metrics, such as ontime delivery, scrap rates, and efficiency
  • Identifying and addressing production issues and implementing solutions to improve processes
  • Assisting with budget and resource planning for the production team
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on production progress and issues
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
