JOB AT A GLANCE:


We are looking for a sharp school administrator to provide confidential, personal and administrative service to the Principal and Senior Leadership team.


To maintain the efficient running of the school office, acting as a personal assistant to the principal and administrative service to other staff.

Working with the marketing team, to plan the school's social media content calendar, develop engaging content for it, measure its success, and make improvements as necessary.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Personal Assistant

  • To manage the principal's diary and to handle all confidential information with discretion
  • Provide administrative support to the Principal and Vice Principal.
  • To be responsible for new staff induction packs and support induction programmes
  • To be responsible for any correspondence, reports and other information, as requested by the Principal /SLT
  • To oversee the processes for dealing with mail and correspondence, ensuring items are circulated, and prioritized in terms of importance and urgency for the Principal
  • Take responsibility for tasks and decisions from the Principal and manage and solve problems
  • Assist with public relations duties both within and outside the school as directed by the PR Agency
  • Devise and maintain office systems to deal efficiently with paper flow
  • Organize and store paperwork, documents and computerbased information, research and retrieve relevant information required
  • Ensure that the Principal is kept updated, and in the Principal's absence refer matters to the relevant member of the Senior Leadership Team for action
  • To attend meetings, document actions arising from meetings attended by Principal, Management Team and self. Prepare, take, type and circulate minutes and record information and action points
  • To present a positive personal image, contributing to a welcoming environment, which supports equal opportunities for all

Social Media & Marketing Management

  • Create and/or coordinate original and engaging multimedia content across multiple social platforms.
  • Launches and manages social media presence on relevant social networking sites.
  • Optimize content to further encourage community interaction and engagement.
  • Monitoring the school's brand on social media.
  • Building brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers.
  • Managing online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
  • Analyzing data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives.
  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large
  • Conduct highquality research and interviews
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed
  • Use SEO principles to maximize copy's reach
  • Source images and other content

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications or suitable work experience.
  • Previous PA or administration experience
  • Excellent copywriting skills and an eye for detail.
  • A good understanding of how our audience are using and engaging with digital media.
  • Excellent knowledge of content marketing and social marketing techniques, and a solid understanding of the power and value of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills the ability to compose letters and reports accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people and to assess and diffuse confrontational situations, as well as make people feel positive and included.
  • Love of working in an environment that is centered around children, learning and excellence.
  • Good general understanding of issues facing schools and the administrative provision they necessitate
  • Must be computer literate & technosavvy


  • Advanced ICT skills

  • Microsoft Office/Google,
  • Has various software knowledge e.g. Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and experience with WordPress, Elementor, Mailchimp
  • Ability to complete tasks and interpret information
  • Ability to maintain efficient record keeping systems
  • Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload to meet deadlines whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date
