By joining this investment bank's team, you are set to become the industry expert to lead their property development team and ultimately take charge of their emerging property fund.

Over the past 3 decades they have built up strong relationships all over the African continent, including close ties to Eswatini where they have already developed several properties, and have master planned a mixed-use precinct which includes hospitality, retail, entertainment and housing.

Over and above this they have amassed a significant land bank in country and have the appetite to consider property development opportunities in other regions too.


At this point they are looking for a qualified and senior professional who will unlock the value within both the mixed use development and their land holdings by conceptualising and executing on new and existing projects.

Reporting to the Senior Partner in the Group, your role will be to identify and package opportunities which align with their development model, by unpacking feasibilities, sourcing tenants, attracting capital, structuring debt and overseeing the overall site development until completion and potentially beyond.


A sophisticated and entrepreneurial individual is sought who has a demonstratable track record in the full development life cycle of large scale commercial projects spanning a minimum of 15 years.

Whilst a tertiary degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Town Planning, Architecture, Building Science OR Engineering is of course required to ensure you are familiar with construction methodologies, the financial aspect of packaging a feasible development could have been gained 'on the job' and would ideally be supported by a post graduate in Business Management or Finance.


This role will suit a well networked Development professional who has exceptional communication skills in English, who is able to convince internal stakeholders and external investors of the commercial viability of projects and who is able to swiftly unblock all the zoning, financing, leasing, construction and other issues which would delay their delivery.

Although based in Johannesburg it is expected that the individual will undertake significant travel.
