Warehouse Inbound Supervisor - Montague Gardens - R R16 000 per month

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all supplier deliveries are received, checked, processed and put away within agreed timelines.
  • Manage the Inbound process and team members to ensure all KPIs and targets are achieved for receiving of shipments, goods in, transfers, returns, and put away departments.
  • Notify appropriate departments when supplier nonconformance or shortage/overages are found.
  • Plan, manage, and maximize all inventory functions and coordinate activities of receiving, goods return, and inventory.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies that might occur.
  • Ensure warehouse is always neat and wellorganized.
  • Assist the warehouse manager with the responsibility for health and safety.
  • Undertake to carry out other duties from time to time as required by Manager.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Receiving accuracy: Percentage of accurate receipts, i.e., the proportion of correctly received orders against purchase orders.
  • Availability of the correct/accurate delivery documents for receiving of all shipments.
  • Stock accuracy physical stock vs. Sage.
  • Evidence of material stock sheets printed and confirmed cycle counts of at least x 10 materials.
  • Asset care/equipment availability.
  • Regular training and updates on health and safety procedures and issues.
  • Monthly reports.
  • Monthly EMEA meetings.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Previous proven relevant warehousing and logistics or supply chain experience working with a highvolume environment.
  • Sound knowledge of warehousing and materials handling.
  • Managerial skills
  • Sound knowledge of inbound receiving and inventory management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.) and operational systems/software (Sage).
  • Ability to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately.
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
  • Promote and maintain a positive team environment.
