Descriptions:


Work with IT technicians to ensure that the IT infrastructure and redundancy thereof meets the growing business needs as well as follow best practices.

Liaise with providers to ensure that the networks, IT hardware and security of the business is mature and up-to-standard.
Ownership of IT procedures and policies
Ensuring that databases are monitored and maintained to limit downtime
Understand the existing system landscape and evaluate its ability to meet future business requirements
Evaluate products, processes, and systems to identify initiatives that can improve business processes and value-added services for customers
Work closely with Business Analyst team to scope projects and work with best architectural design
Evaluate resource requirements to meet development needs for the future roadmap
Ensure SLAs are met with service tickets both internally as well as external software providers
Assist Finance Department in accurate forecasting and budgeting for full IT costs
Manage IT budget
Identify fit-for-purpose software development solutions, be it products, 3rd party development, low-code solutions, or in-house development
Source 3rd party providers where required to perform development work
Hands on coding of fit-for-purpose solutions where required
Architect solutions that future proofs the business for IT projects
Plan resource requirements for future development
Actively develop team to stay abreast of the latest technology trends.


Qualifications:


Minimum qualification:
IT degree from a recognised tertiary institution
10 years' experience as IT professional
5 years CTO/Head of IT experience in a small to medium enterprise
Fintech experience highly advantageous
Demonstrated strong commercial awareness
Be open to best for purpose solutions
Ability to manage 3rd party providers to meet SLA's and on-time delivery of solutions
Negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills varying from very technical communication skills to the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Proven record of building a team to meet future technology requirements
Strong architectural experience
