Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:


  • Full payroll function
  • Preparation and processing of monthly salaries payroll
  • Overseeing the preparation and processing the weekly wages payroll
  • Administration of leave on VIP ESS
  • Employment Equity reporting
  • Preparation of new employee service agreements
  • Reconciliation, preparation, and submission of EMP201s
  • Reconciliation and preparation of all 3rd party payments
  • Biannual IRP5 reconciliations and submissions
  • UlF and COID submissions and payments
  • Liaison with SARS, Pension Fund administrators, Medical Aid administrators and MIBFA
  • Recordkeeping of physical and electronic employee records
  • Preparation of monthly payroll journals and GL reconciliations
  • Salary cashbook entries and reconciliation
  • Monthly balance sheet recons
  • Administration of fuel cards and etags
  • Supervision of the Wage Clerk and Receptionist
  • Adhoc projects and reporting
  • 5 years experience with large and complex payrolls
  • VIP Payroll experience essential with ESS super user/administrator knowledge
  • Excellent computer knowledge and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the BCEA, Income Tax Act, LRA, COIDA, EE Act and Skills Development Act
  • Excellent knowledge of medical schemes and pension funds
  • Excellent knowledge of HR management systems and practices
