Description

Manage production's compliance with pharmaceutical, food and other appropriate legislation, as well quality standards within targeted costs, working capital and service levels to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

Manage compliance of the production facility to ensure adherence to cGMP, BRC, FSSC, HACCAP and other relevant standards
Ensure proper supervision of relevant products, in accordance with South African medicine legislation
Manage and perform line opening and closing procedures
Act as responsible Pharmacist when required
Update and approve manufacturing and packaging masters as needed and draft, approve or verify QMSs documents
Enforce adherence to these standards
Initiate and lead appropriate investigation and recording of relevant data with regards to process deviations and customer complaints Investigate process deviations to establish Root Cause and Corrective Action (CAPA)
Conduct internal audits on a scheduled basis
Support the development of quality and compliance skills in the production area
Ensure that staff are trained, equipped and motivated through effective staff management processes.
Pharm Degree Production Management or related qualification is desired
Registration at Pharmacy Council
Previous experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing is essential
People Management experience would be beneficial
Excellent communication, presentation, problemsolving & stress tolerance skills
High quality & safety focus.
