Introduction
Our manufacturing client based in Durban is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their production team.

Duties & Responsibilities
Managing production outputs and ensuring production targets are achieved. Adapting production targets depending on customer demand. Ensuring that acceptable quality levels are maintained according to accepted QMS and quality standards. Problem solving of production challenges. Developing effective procedures, instructions and SOPs.
Develop actions to reduce reject, rework and customer return rates.
Partake in continuous improvement initiatives. Hold daily production meetings with subordinates and partake in departmental meetings. Production monitoring and reporting. Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.
Manage the performance, motivation and training of subordinates.
Assist in production cost and budget monitoring.
Reporting on production targets and statistics to Plant Manager. Ensuring planned maintenance of equipment and machinery is carried out.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric. Diploma in Production/Operations Management. At least 4 years experience in a Supervisory position. Strong leadership skills/abilities.
