**Position Summary

The Technical Support Services (TSS) Activity helps USAID/South Africa and Regional Health Office (RHO) to address technical priorities and develop creative, innovative solutions to strategically allocate resources, strengthen connections with partners, and replicate best practices and effective program models.

Through the TSS contract, Panagora Group augments capacity by providing technical, operational, and administrative support to USAID's largest health portfolio.

TSS deploys advisors in response to USAID requests for priority work with government stakeholders, implementing partners, and/or other entities. TSS supports Health Office staff and teams to integrate creative solutions into routine work.

TSS also provides international and local expertise for surge support, as needed, for USAID Program Cycle requirements, planning, development, outreach, communications, and Health Office human resource functions.


Panagora seeks a Consultant to support USAID/South Africa's COP 23 planning process and provide the PEPFAR Coordination Office (PCO) with support during COP23.

This will include attending meetings, preparing documentation and trackers, and keeping abreast of continuous updates from PEPFAR and USAID in country and from Washington to support COP 23.

Additional requests may include conducting data or other analysis; assisting with development of slides, tools and strategic documents to reflect the direction of the PEPFAR/USAID South Africa program.

This is a short-term position based in South Africa with an anticipated start at the end of January 2023.

**Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the document management and development of COP23 internal and external PowerPoint presentations.
  • Document management and technical proofreading and editing of the Strategic Direction Summary (SDS) and highlevel sustainability plan for COP2
  • Assistance with COP23related program documentation as needed, including document drafting and proofreading.
  • Support for basic data analysis and visualization of MER or program data analysis as needed by technical teams.
  • Review and finalizing content of COP23 tools as needed, such as:
  • FAST budgeting tool
  • Table 6 and SRE
  • Commodity / supply chain planning tool.
  • Assist the PEPFAR Coordination Office with pre and post COP support tasks (organization of interagency meetings and processes).
  • Other COP2023related tasks as identified.

Requirements:


  • A completed Master's degree in a medical or public health discipline.
  • 57 years of experience in international, public health programming, and experience working in technical oversight, design, and implementation of HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries.
  • Specialized knowledge and demonstrated expertise in understanding the current evidence base as it applies to HIV and AIDS program design, management, and evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse professional backgrounds
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills in English
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a te am
