Retirement Benefit Counsellor

Our client based in Bellville is looking for a Retirement Benefit Counsellor. Your Primary role is to assist individuals in planning and understanding their retirement benefits. You will provide guidance and advice on various retirement plans, investment options, and financial strategies.

Responsibilities:

Interact with Retirement Fund Members who are close to retirement either facetoface or via telephone
Collect personnel financial information from the Member in order to complete a Financial planning report
Interact with different Service Providers to obtain quotations
Communicate all the options available to the Member
Connect a retiree with a Financial Advisor
Keep record of all counselling done and submit a monthly report
Strong financial analysis and mathematical skills are crucial. You should be able to assess individuals financial situations, evaluate investment portfolios, and provide recommendations tailored to their specific needs and goals
Staying updated on industry trends, tax laws, and retirement planning strategies
Willing to travel

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
5 years experience in the Financial Service Industry, focusing on Financial Planning in the Local Authority Retirement Fund environment
