VACANCY:

REGIONAL LIQUOR STORE MANAGER

LOCATION:

PHOENIX
We are seeking a Regional Liquor Store Manager to join our group.

He/she will ensure health and safety protocols are being followed and will also monitor the quality and be responsible for sales, gross margin, and profitability amongst all stores.

The Regional will also communicate company and department policies to the internal stores as well as work closely to help achieve the group's goals.


PURPOSE:

Oversee effective operations of the group's liquor stores store by ensuring your team of liquor store managers are performing in their duties and responsibilities.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • STORE MANAGEMENT/ADMIN/SALES
  • Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
  • Conducts analysis on stock take reports, PLU Ranking and Sales reports
  • Checks and authorizes invoices and timesheets; conduct daily analysis of spreadsheets
  • Oversees the store's profitability by ensuring increased sales, GP's are achieved and sales targets are met.

STAFF MANAGEMENT
Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating and operational, and personnel policies and procedures amongst liquor store managers in the group.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Motivate and drive high morale amongst staff to create an effective and efficient staff force who ensures and engages in positive customer experiences.


CUSTOMERS


Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.


STOCK
Complete management of stock control; determine quantities for purchasing, negotiate on pricing. Ensure stock levels are maintained and are at optimum levels. Ensure that no expired stock is on hand,

Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.


PRICING AND PROMOTIONS
Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.

Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.


SAFETY AND SECURITY
Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a managerial position in the liquor industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications.

Qualification

  • Grade 12 ( Matric)
  • A business related qualification
