Job Summary

> Form part of the key deal team that will research, develop, create, and present the CIB Transactional Banking Solution to clients.

> Conduct an in-depth client analysis focussing on client's specific business and sector.

> Assist the solutions team to deliver the best possible transactional banking solution by assessing and identifying new and potential cross sell opportunities across various banking product sets.


Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

  • Using internal and external information sources conduct research on the industry in which a key target client operates to understand the industries overall profitability, trends and client's market standing relative to its competitors. (Under the direction of the solutions/relationship teams)
  • Perform robust financial and nonfinancial analysis on the client that will support and underpin all new proposals in terms of the CIB's transactional banking value proposition.
  • Using the information above identify:
  • typical challenges that require solving
- the transactional banking products required to solve the challenge
- benchmarking client against other clients who are banked by CIB

  • Assist the solutions team in formulating key banking solutions using deep product skills in the team and collaboration across all CIB products i.e., Physical Cash, Card, Trade, Liquidity Management, Collections, Payments, etc.
  • Coordinate team efforts across product areas to ensure that pitch timelines are adhered to.
  • Respond to certain RFP's, pitch writing and presentation
  • Development and maintenance of the client profitability model which details revenue, cost and contribution per required product as well as scenario analysis as required
  • Maintain high personal visibility with key influencers within the bank and externally promoting credibility of self and the business's growing capabilities.
  • Provide input to product development and design of marketing and sales materials founded on an understanding of client needs.
  • Ensure that all sales and performance management measures (e.g. sales pipeline tool, databases etc) are adhered to.
Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Banking, Economics, Accounting, etc.
(NQF - minimum)

  • Alternative skills including Consultancy, Accounting, Treasury, Analytics, Modelling, Process Engineering would be considered and advantageous
  • 2 to 3 years working experience in a consulting/auditing/corporate environment
Education

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
