To manage a team of drafting specialist including performing all the operational and technical functions as required. Key responsibilities Manage an operational Budget Responsible to deliver on operational projects within the contract's environment. Will be responsible for technical deliveries. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Recruits and selects potential staff. Accountable for customer / client service delivery though efforts of other. Accountable for others' time, tasks, and output quality. Key Responsibilities (Continues) Balances own priorities whilst directing and motivating others. Plans and assigns work over the applicable period. Guides and directs staff to achieve operational excellence. Creates a climate for optimal performance. Manages the performance of others.

Manage a team of Contract Drafters and consultants that are responsible for all functions relating to the drafting of group contracts and other fund and policy related documents that are legally sound, accurate and that meet the needs of the stakeholders:
Drafting of client documentation in respect of corporate products that meet the requirements of legislation. Key responsibilities (Continues) Drafting complex and customised Group Risk contractual documents for key and high-profile clients with minimum specifications. Identifying any ambiguities, omissions, errors and inconsistencies in drafting instructions received and resolving these issues with the appropriate parties. Proof reading of documents drafted to ensure quality, content and adherence to legislation.

Regular liaison with, Clients, Legal advisers, and other experts to clarify and resolve issue Providing interpretation of the content of scheme documents and the legislative requirements to clients, Trustees and other stakeholders.

Networking with business units, legal experts and product owners to ensure documents meet business and legislative requirements. Keeping abreast of changes in legislation that could impact on client documentation.

Identify training needs and arrange for the necessary mentor for the team when necessary Qualification and Experience Relevant Business Degree in Law will be advantageous.

Detailed knowledge of the products, processes and legislation in the Retirement fund industry. Extensive experience (5-10 years) Group Risk or Employee Benefits Contracts environment.

Good knowledge of the Underwriting principles and Business Processes in the Group Risk Industry Minimum of 5 years management / supervisory experience.

Technical Competencies Computer literate with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of the Pensions Fund Act, Income Tax Act and the Insurance Act as it relates to the requirements of the work.

Proven ability in the drafting of client documentation at least years' experience. Ability to interpret rules and policy provisions. Ability to analyse and conceptualise scheme data and present such data in a logical and written form. Capable of acting as a representative for the contractual team in a multi-disciplinary team for projects. Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure Personal qualitie
