Inherent requirements:

  • Matric
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Training or a related field
  • 5 years' experience in managing assessment and moderation processes for SETA accreditation learning programmes
  • Comprehensive knowledge in SETA and QCTO regulations and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and assessment and moderation software
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage and develop teams
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that all assessments and moderations processes are accurate fair and consistent

Preferred requirements:

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all assessment and moderation processes are compliant with SETA and QCTO regulations and standards
  • Develop and implement assessment and moderation policies and procedures
  • Manage and oversee the work assessment and moderation teams
  • Ensure that all assessments are fair, valid, reliable and consistent
  • Provide guidance and support to Trainers and Assessors
  • Review and evaluate the quality of assessments and provide feedback and recommendation for improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including SETA and QCTO representatives
  • Keep up to date with changes and developments in SETA and QCTO landscape and communicate these to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit reports to senior management on assessments and moderation activities
