Board Services Internship:

We are looking for a career driven, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join one of our partner companies.

We and our partner company are offering an incredible internship position. With the opportunity to learn from leaders in the industry, put theories into practice, build your CV and ultimately grow you as an individual


Core Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Assist in providing clients with advice and guidance on the Companies Act, corporate governance best practice and principles (King IV Report), and related applicable legislation
  • Provide effective administration for all client board meetings (AGM, board meetings, etc)
  • Draft meeting agendas, in consultation with board chairperson and directors
  • Ensure the collation and dispatch of board papers and support to members and invitees timeously
  • Draft and review minutes and maintain minutes book, directors' interests register etc.
  • Assist in preparing board resolutions and file them accordingly
  • Ensure and track timely CIPC filing of all statutory returns
  • Prepare and track board action items/matters arising list
  • Facilitate annual board evaluation
  • Use board management software (i.e, OnBoard)

Skills:


  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint experience is vital.
  • Proactive approach problem solving and the ability to multitask
  • Works well under pressure and within deadlines level headed and able to prioritise tasks
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Impeccable time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Capacity to quickly learn new concepts, technologies, skills, and the ability to multitask.

Requirements:


  • BCom Commercial Law/Human Resources or LLB
  • Good understanding of corporate entities and corporate governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to draft legal documents (key requirement).
  • Selfstarter who takes initiative and is able to manage own time to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Excellent level of comfort in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to work in a team proven crossfunctionality skills.

Salary:
R9, R11,000.00 per month
