Large 4* CBD Hotel seeks experienced Hotel Receptionist.The purpose of the role is to receive and check in all guests and visitors to the Hotel on arrival
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests by greeting and providing information about the hotel.
- Check in and out guests promptly.
- Sell hotel facilities at best available rates to manage yielding.
- Check guests in using property management system as outlined by the hotel standard operating procedure.
- Capture and keep accurate records of all guests have checked in, or out, of the hotel whilst you are on shift.
- Prepare a customer's account in time for check out, clear any outstanding bills posted to the guest account before guests leave the hotel.
- Attend to guest enquiries about the hotel and/or its services.
- Answer and transferring telephones as per SOP.
- Maintain hotel security by manning the Front desk diligently.
- Capture guests profiles and details accurately.
- Record room changes and handovers accurately in the handover diary.
- Conduct Pit checks after every shift.
- Adhere to company policy regarding guest payments. No debt should be allowed for guests with no credit facilities
- Invoice all cash transactions accurately.
- Check guest bills for accuracy.
- Cash in shift banking in line with Property Management System transactions.
- Adhere to department SOPs
Minimum Requirements
- 3yr Diploma in Hotel Management
- 1yr experience in a large 4star hotel in a similar role
- Knowledge of ProTel
