Description

The Junior System Operator is responsible for conducting, monitoring and maintaining day-to-day operations for clients of Traderoot Africa Managed Services (TAMS) who have payment systems on the TEP platform.

These clients require service of the highest quality 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so the Junior System Operator is required to provide effective and efficient second-line support.

Primary responsibilities

Accurately and diligently monitor clients' environments.
Capture and process statistics.
Perform system health checks.
Provide appropriate support for clients' production environments of TEP solutions, as specified in their Service Level Agreement.
Provide effective communication and reporting on system processes, performance and issues.
Escalate incidents to Team and Team Lead for issues for further analysis and investigation.
Write incident reports.
Be aware of PCI and other compliance requirements to ensure that Traderoot and its clients and stakeholders will not be affected by noncompliance with them.
Be aware of and mitigate risk factors, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and Traderoot policies and procedures.
Respond quickly and efficiently to service requests from clients in a manner which is friendly and explains technical points clearly.
Share technical knowledge with the team.
Use the issue tracking system effectively.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.
